Getting Ready to Sell*

If homeowners want to get asking  price for their homes and sell as soon as possible, there are several steps homeowners can take to prepare their homes to sell.
1. Exterior
    a) Remove any debris from the yard, mow the lawn, cut bushes, and sweep
        sidewalk and surrounding areas.
    b) If paint is fading or peeling, consider repainting the affected areas.
    c) Clean windows and remove any accumulated dirt from frames.
    d) Make sure doors and gate(s) locks work, and doorbell rings. 
2. Interior
    a) Clean up all rooms, walls, ceilings, and furnishings.
    b) If paint is fading or peeling, consider repainting the affected areas.
    c) Clean up the garage and remove unnecessary stuff.
    d) Organize closets, counters, and shelf.
    e) Make sure lights, and appliances work.
3. What should I do, when prospective buyers come to see property?
    a) If possible, leave the house. This will allow buyer(s) to feel free to walk
        and inspect property.
    b) Leave on,  pleasant music playing in the background.
    c) Make sure house has a pleasant atmosphere, and smells good.
